John Cannito

John Cannito is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for The PENTA Building Group and affiliated companies.  He has been with PENTA since 2004 and is currently responsible for the strategic direction and overall operations at PENTA, All 5’s Construction, and S.J. Amoroso Construction.  He oversees all departments and has bottom-line accountability for company performance and culture.

John has been working in the commercial construction industry for over 28 years.  In 1992, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University before continuing his education at the University of Arizona, where he graduated in 2004 with a Masters in Business & Administration (MBA).  Since joining PENTA in 2004, John has received numerous certifications, including Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) and LEED AP.

John started his career in New York, New York as an engineer for an international engineering firm. In 1997, he moved to Phoenix, AZ to work as an engineer for a large General Contractor. In 2000, John became President of a construction consulting firm offering information systems, process efficiency, and general construction consulting services throughout the United States. Finally joining The PENTA Building Group in 2004, John has been on PENTA’s Executive Management Committee since its inception and has been a big part of the strategic growth and development of the organization.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, he currently lives in Las Vegas, NV, and is married to Lisa Cannito. They have four children together, Anna (19), Grace (17), Maddie (14), and Sarah (10).  John takes great pride in his local community involvement where he currently serves on three nonprofit boards: Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), Opportunity Village, and Special Olympics of Nevada.
