Ken Ladd

Special Assistant to the President for Government and Community Affairs, Desert Research Institute

Mr. Kenneth G. Ladd serves as a Trustee on the Desert Research Institute Foundation Board.  Additionally, he serves on the Nevada Hand and Guinn Center Boards.

From 1983 through 2014 Mr. Ladd was the Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking for U.S. Bank, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He managed a staff of over 600 professionals with assets in excess of 11 figures and revenues topping nine figures.

A Nevada resident since 1982, Mr. Ladd has more than 35 years banking experience, with more than 30 years at U.S. Bank. He has built an extensive background in commercial lending, credit administration, gaming finance, branch management and bank operations. Mr. Ladd is an active participant in the Las Vegas community. He is a board member of the Guinn Center for Policy Priorities, LVGEA, EDAWN and Nevada Hand. He has held director’s positions with agencies such as United Way Services, Inc., Sunrise Children’s Foundation and the former Nevada Development Authority.

Ken is a 1983 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Weber State University. He has also participated in several specialized programs in financial management.
