Director- Network Operations Services, CenturyLink
Mike Jewell currently serves as Director – Network Operations Services in Las Vegas, NV. Mike has responsibility for CenturyLink’s operations in Nevada and California, comprising approximately over 500 technicians and contractors. Mike is also the local management face of CenturyLink in Nevada.
Prior to this current assignment, Mike served in several capacities in Network Operations Center management for data circuits, voice and DSL repair. Mike worked to launch the Service Module for Salesforce in the national repair space to improve customer service. Prior to that, Mike led Wholesale Sales for Embarq and Sprint Local. Mike also had P&L responsibility for Sprint’s Public Access business with revenues of approximately $100M annually.
Mike joined the company in 1985 and has also worked in the areas of regulatory affairs, corporate planning, and consumer product management. He started his career in the management trainee program in Bristol, Tennessee.
Mike holds a BBA in Economics and Finance from the University of Kentucky. Taking advantage of the company’s education benefits, he earned an MBA from East Tennessee State University in 1990. Mike is happily married to former employee Cindy (they met in the management trainee program), and they have three adult children. Mike enjoys community and charity events and has not yet given up on his golf game.
