Rich Green

Councilman, City of Mesquite

Councilman Green was born in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Wichita State University in 1964 with dual majors in Accounting and Finance. He spent 31 years with Certified Public Accounting firm Deloitte & Touche in Kansas City, Australia, and Indonesia before concluding his international business career as a senior finance executive with an Asian multi-national company in Singapore.
Councilman Green lived in Australia after his retirement in 2001 and returned to the USA ( Lake Ozark, Mo. ) in 2004; he relocated to Mesquite in 2008. He has become involved locally with the Valley Presbyterian Church, the Sunrise Rotary Club, Elks Lodge # 2811, Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer for the Salvation Army as well as Mesquite’s Little League Baseball Program ( umpire ).

Councilman Green is married to Loretta and they have three daughters and five grandchildren.

Councilman Green represents the City of Mesquite on the board of directors of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance is a member of the Board of Directors of Southern Nevada Transport Coalition (Silver Rider) and is treasurer of Mesquite Works, a local job training, and workforce development entity.
